Street Outreach Program
Life on the street is hard!
Statistics say that within only a few days of living on the street, most youth turn to drugs and prostitution as a means of survival. Our Outreach Teams, comprised of Staff and Volunteers, wish to change this trend by caring for those youth forced to be on the street -- right where they are at!
Consisting of a large van packed to the gills with bags of food, seasonally appropriate clothing, hygiene items and information, the Teams travel to areas in King and Snohomish counties where we know there are dense populations of homeless and at-rish youth.
Each conversation with a teen allows the Team member to demonstrate compassion and instill some hope. During these conversations, youth are invited to stay with us in our Shelter.
